Ukraine has notified the WTO of a draft resolution on amendments to Annex 3 of the Technical Regulation on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment.

The aim of the resolution is to bring the requirements in line with the EU RoHS Directive in the application of exceptions from the restrictions, specified in paragraph nine of the Technical Regulation, the Chemical Watch News portal has reported.

The proposed date of adoption is to be determined. The proposed date of entry into force is July 6, except for item six, which will enter into force on November 21.

The final date for comments is 60 days from notification.

Ukraine has been busy harmonizing its legislation with the EU. Its Technical Regulation, based on the EU's RoHS Directive, entered into force on September 22, 2017.
