Ukraine places 58th in world ranking of arms manufacturers

In 2013 sales of the arms produced by the Ukrainian defense companies reached $1.680 billion, which is $240 million more compared to the previous year.

The rating’s leaders in terms of volumes of sales are U.S. corporations.

The ranking did not include the sales of Chinese arms manufacturers, as information about their revenues, according to SIPRI, is very inaccurate.

The rating was compiled on the basis of data about revenues generated from sales of arms in 2013. The total revenues of the 100 companies included on the list amounted to $402 billion, which was 2% less year-over-year.
