"The costs for Ukrainian army are extremely high, and it’s about UAH 95 million a day. It is a very heavy load on the budget," Yatseniuk said.

"The security costs are one of the key challenges for the economy and the country as a whole. Ukraine will be able to overcome this challenge only with external support," Yatseniuk said.

"We know how to respond to these challenges. But we need to do it together with our European partners and countries from the Group of Seven so that we can get through the very difficult year of 2015 and get some growth and stabilization in 2016," Yatseniuk said.

"Ukraine appreciates the support that has already been provided by other countries. This year, Ukraine has already received about $9 billion in financial assistance from the IMF, World Bank and the Group of Seven countries," he said.

At the same time, Yatseniuk has said that the government already announced its plans of the reforms, including the measures to stabilize the country.

"Over the last nine months we have taken a number of steps to stabilize the country: we drew up two packages of austerity, revised the program of social benefits, and reduced the number of preferential and social programs, and sacked 10% of civil servants in order to reduce budget expenditures. We have introduced new taxes, made steps to change in regulatory policy, and reduced the number of regulatory bodies and their powers," the prime minister said.

As UNIAN reported earlier, on December 15-16, Yatseniuk is on a working visit to Brussels, where he has already held talks at the headquarters of NATO and the Council of Europe, and also took part in the inaugural meeting of EU-Ukraine Association Council.

"Ukraine is ready for European integration and joining to NATO, [and is ready] to implement the necessary package of reforms, but now it needs support," he said.

Earlier, the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine Aivaras Adomavičius, who is accompanying the prime minister, said that the main task of the Ukrainian delegation is to launch the Association Council activities, as well as to secure real support - primarily financial.

As it was reported earlier, in 2015 Ukraine will require additional $15 billion in addition to financial support from the key creditors, the IMF and the World Bank. The loan program has been approved by the IMF in April, amounted to $17 billion, $4.6 billion of which Ukraine has already received.

The program of cooperation with the World Bank is estimated to be worth $3.5 billion, $1.5 billion of which Ukraine has already received.
