The Russian government has introduced restrictive economic measures against Ukrainian nationals and legal entities.

The relevant resolution of November 1 was published on the official website of the Russian government.

The sanctions affected 68 Ukrainian companies and 322 citizens. The government decree contains a complete sanctions list, which also includes a number of top Ukrainian officials such as NSDC Secretary Oleksandr Turchynov, Parliament Speaker Andriy Parubiy, Interior Minister Arsen Avakov, Head of the Security Service of Ukraine Vasyl Hrytsak, Head of the Presidential Administration Ihor Rainin, Minister of Defense Stepan Poltorak, Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko, Minister for Information Policies Yuriy Stets, and others.

Russia also sanctioned Ukrainian legislators Volodymyr Ariev, Oleh Barna, Borislav Bereza, Andriy Biletsky, Maksym Burbak, Iryna Gerashchenko, Mustafa Dzhemilev, Svitlana Zalishchuk, Yuli Mamchur, Ihor Mosiychuk, Mustafa Nayem, Volodymyr Parasiuk, Serhiy Pashynsky, Oleksiy Poroshenko (the Ukrainian president's son), Yulia Tymoshenko, and others.

The list of legal entities includes AvtoKrAZ, Azot, a number of mining and processing plants, the State Food and Grain Corporation of Ukraine, etc.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin on October 22 signed a decree providing for the introduction of "special economic measures" in connection with Ukraine's "unfriendly actions."

In particular, Putin ordered that federal agencies, bodies of state power of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, other state bodies, local governments, organizations and individuals under the jurisdiction of the Russian Federation, "proceed from the fact that of the special economic measures are applied to certain individuals and legal entities from the date the Decree enters into force."

The document also instructs authorities to draw up lists of individuals and legal entities to whom these measures will be applied.
