"It is expected that the decision of the Board of Directors of the IMF will be made within the next four weeks, after which the Ukrainian government will begin the implementation of interim measures," Georgiev said.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the Ukrainian government approved a memorandum of cooperation with the key creditor, the International Monetary Fund, on a medium-term program of financial assistance for Ukraine, designed for four years, under the Enhanced Extended Fund Facility (EFF) and worth a total of $17.5 billion.

According to the IMF, Ukraine could receive up to $40 billion over the four year period when other lenders are included in calculations.
