Yatseniuk proposes to put most corrupt customs offices under foreign management
The most corrupt customs offices in Ukraine might be put under the management of foreign companies, Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk said on Wednesday during a public presentation of reform plans for the State Fiscal Service.
"I suggest to the Finance Ministry and the leadership of the State Fiscal Service to conduct an experiment in certain customs offices,” Yatseniuk said.
"Let's do a pilot project and invite foreign companies to manage certain customs offices. This experience has been conducted in Bulgaria and in other countries.
“The first step is to select the customs offices - I suggest transferring the most corrupt customs offices to foreign management. And then we will see the result of their work.”
