Polish Deputy Minister, Undersecretary of State for Security Bartosz Cichocki says Ukrainians working in Poland transferred PLN 8 billion, or US$2.24 billion, to Ukraine in 2016, according to an UNIAN correspondent, reporting from a briefing in Kyiv on September 19.

In his words, over 1.2 million Ukrainians living and working in Poland transferred PLN 8 billion to Ukraine last year, which accounted for over 3% of Ukraine's GDP.
