"...We've developed a set of measures that could be adopted in this case. If such decisions are taken [with regard to a halt to railway communication by Ukraine], we will be able to implement the said measures. I think it is still early now to discuss the measures in detail," the Russian news agency RIA Novosti quoted Dietrich as saying.

In his opinion, Russian and Ukrainian citizens will not be able to travel by rail after the introduction of such measures. The Russian minister claims the move will bring nothing but inconvenience and discomfort.

Earlier it became known that Ukraine's Infrastructure Ministry had been considering the closure of the railway communication with the Russian Federation, but the final decision is to be taken by the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine and the Cabinet of Ministers.

There is no information about deadlines for stopping the railway service between Ukraine and Russia yet.
