Ukrainian farmers export almost 9 mln tonnes of grain since July 1

Ukrainian farmers from July 1 to September 24, 2018, exported over 8.8 million tonnes of grains.

In particular, they exported almost 5.2 million tonnes of wheat and 2 million tonnes of barley, the Ukrainian Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry's press service said.

In particular, Ukraine shipped 3 million tonnes of food wheat and over 2 million tonnes of coarse wheat abroad, it said.

Maize exports totaled 1.4 million tonnes.

In the same period of the previous marketing year, Ukraine exported 9.7 million tonnes of grain, including almost 5.4 million tonnes of wheat (2.7 million tonnes of food wheat and over 2.6 million tonnes of coarse wheat), almost 3 million tonnes of barley, and more than 1 million tonnes of maize.

As UNIAN reported earlier, 39.4 million tonnes of grain was exported in the previous marketing year (July 2017 through June 2018).
