Revenues of solvent banks in Ukraine increased by 7.3%, while their expenses shrank by 1.4%.
Ukrainian solvent banks in January-August 2018 received UAH 13.747 billion (US$490 million) in profit, which was up 4 times from UAH 3.429 billion ($122 million) year-over-year (y-o-y).

Revenues of solvent banks over the period under review grew by 7.3% y-o-y, to UAH 128.440 billion ($4.6 billion), while expenses dropped by 1.4%, to UAH 114.693 billion ($4 billion), according to the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU).
As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukraine's banking system posted a total of UAH 24.4 billion ($869.6 million) in losses in 2017 due to the significant amount of allocations for the country's reserves.
