Ukraine ranks 64th among 146 nations by social progress – study

Ukraine ranked 64th in the social progress ranking among 146 countries, retaining the position against the ranking among 128 countries in 2017, according to the results of the 2018 Social Progress Index, developed by the U.S.-based NGO Social Progress Imperative with the support of Deloitte.

Ukraine is placed between Cuba and Macedonia in the ranking, remaining in the group of countries with social development above the average, the study said.

At the same time, there has been some improvement in the indicators in the areas of basic human needs, foundation of wellbeing, and opportunity.

The level of Ukraine's GDP in 2017 increased from US$7,457 per capita to $7,668 in 2018.

Norway tops the ranking, while the Central African Republic has taken the last 146th position.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukraine ranked 64th in the living standard ranking among 128 countries, entering the group of nations with social development above the average, according to the 2017 Social Progress Index.
