Ukraine's Turboatom was engaged in construction of the station's first two stages.
Chairman of Ukrgasbank Board Kyrylo Shevchenko says Ukraine and China have agreed to attract a Chinese loan worth US$0.5 billion to complete the construction of the Dniester Pumped Storage Power Plant (PSPP), the interest on which will not exceed 4.5% per annum.
"Earlier, Private Joint-Stock Company Ukrhydroenergo and China National Electric Engineering Co., Ltd. [CNEEC] signed a memorandum, with declared amount of $0.5 billion, on the participation of the Chinese company in the completion of the Dniester PSPP," the Ukrainian online newspaper ZN.UA reported on December 12.

It is noted that the state-owned turbine producer Turboatom was engaged in construction of the first two stages of the plant. Turboatom announced its readiness to install hydro turbines and equipment for hydropower units Nos. 5, 6 and 7 at the Dniester PSPP, having shipped the fourth hydroelectric unit there.
Turboatom produces turbines for hydro power plants, thermal power plants, and nuclear power plants. A total of 75% of the company's charter capital belongs to the state.
