"We've agreed that an assessment mission will come to Ukraine to get acquainted with the development of infrastructure in the Pryazovia area and eastern Ukraine. This is a result of previous agreements that were reached by the president in Brussels some years ago," he told journalists on December 17, summing up his working visit to Brussels.

Pryazovia is the geographic area of north coast of the Sea of Azov. It consists of southern part of Donetsk region, Zaporizhia region, eastern part of Kherson region.

The prime minister added that the Cabinet of Ministers had signed eight agreements with the EU in various fields, which are expected to receive substantial support from European partners.

"I think, the [financial] support will total EUR 400 million in allocations for various projects that the European Union will help us implement," he said.

As UNIAN reported earlier, during his visit to Brussels, Groysman proposed that the European Union create targeted support programs for the Ukrainian Pryazovia area as part of the sanctions policy against Russia and measures to restore free shipping in the region and the development of the sea ports in Berdyansk in Zaporizhia and Mariupol in Donetsk region.
