CEO of Ukrainian national railways company PJSC Ukrzaliznytsia Yevhen Kravtsov says the train linking the four capitals on route Kyiv (Ukraine) – Minsk (Belarus) – Vilnius (Lithuania) – Riga (Latvia) will start running more frequently.

"The train of 'four capitals,' will run more often. We'll change the schedule from January 30. Trains will run once every four days. Now, they run once a week. At the same time, we are not changing the [railway] timetable," he wrote on Facebook.

Kravtsov added that the trains are now 49% full in the Kyiv-Riga direction, while in the opposite direction it's 40%.

"These are good indicators that prove high demand for railway services launched to European capitals, and their economic profitability for the Ukrainian railways," he added.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the first train linking the four capitals on route from Kyiv (Ukraine) – Minsk (Belarus) – Vilnius (Lithuania) – Riga (Latvia) departed from Kyiv's railway station on September 28.

Kravtsov then told about the company's plan to add the fifth capital city of Tallinn (Estonia) to the train route late in 2018 or early in 2019.
