Trilateral EU-Ukraine-Russia gas talks were held in Brussels on January 21.
Vice-President of the European Commission in charge of Energy Union Maros Sefcovic says the situation with gas supplies from Russia via Ukraine this winter is under control.
"In addition, the security of gas supply this winter was also discussed and the good news is that everything is fine, under control," he said at a briefing after trilateral gas talks in Brussels on Monday.

"We do not foresee any complications this winter," Sefcovic added.
As UNIAN reported earlier, the current transit contract between Ukraine and Russia's Gazprom was signed in 2009 for a period of 10 years. After its expiry (from 2020), the Russian monopoly said it planned to minimize gas transit through the Ukrainian territory to 10-15 billion cubic meters per year.
