This is about UAH 1,500 [US$55] in subsidies per month on average.
Ukrainian Social Policy Minister Andriy Reva says about 4 million households, who were assigned subsidies in October-December 2018 for utility services in the current heating season, will start receiving cash payments from March 2019.
"In March 2019, these households will receive cash in the amount of their subsidies assigned for February, that is about UAH 1,500 [US$55] on average. They will receive similar payments in April (for March) and May (for April) in 2019," the ministry's press service quoted Reva as saying at a conference call on February 14.
The minister added that the Pension Fund's authorities would pay subsidies to pensioners (about 70% of all recipients) in the same way as retirement benefits are paid: either by transfer of funds to pension accounts in authorized banks, or by payments via post offices, including home-delivery service. The subsidies will be paid out along with the payment of pensions.

Non-pensioners will be able to receive monetized subsidies at any time in any Oschadbank branch as a remittance (through the domestic "Shvydka Kopiyka" Fast Transfer System) or to their current accounts in the state-run Oschadbank.
As UNIAN reported earlier, monetization of subsidies, which would be carried out in three stages, had been launched in Ukraine.
The first phase began on January 1, 2019 for those citizens who will apply for granting subsidies with a new package of documents. The second stage is envisaged for citizens who will be assigned subsidies for non-heating season of 2019. The transition to the monetarized subsidies payments will be completed at the third stage.
